hi there, i'm john.

thank you for viewing my website. a little background: i have worked as a photographer for the chicago sun-times since february, 2004. before this, i lived in lovely san francisco and worked for five years at the oakland tribune and its sister papers in the bay area.

i have an insatiable curiosity for the people who keep the world going, and my goal is to meet as many of these folks before it's all over - to see the things they do to make life a slightly better experience and the world a better place.
